Our team at Main Street Dental Clinic, Coatbridge, understands that dental emergencies can be distressful and by their nature cannot be planned. When these arise, we will find the time by moving appointments around, staying late or working through lunch, to get you out of pain, FAST!!

If you have a genuine dental emergency, you need to be seen. Please contact Main Street Dental Clinic, Coatbridge as soon as possible and we will see you within 24 hrs.

Dental emergencies are serious incidents, lets clarify what is and what isn’t, considered a dental emergency.

DENTAL ABSCESS
Dental abscess is a dental emergency and should be treated promptly. Dental swelling could spread to other tissues and obstruct your swallowing or, more dangerously, your breathing!

DENTAL TRAUMA
Dental trauma involving a tooth falling out of its socket is a dental emergency! When a tooth has been lost (Avulsed), the immediacy of treatment is vital to the survival of the tooth. Dr Maha Razik and Dr Munsoor Alvi advise the tooth to be gently wiped and then stored in saliva (inside your mouth, on the inside of your cheek) or milk but NEVER water!

DENTAL PAIN
Pain from your mouth or teeth, especially if it has kept you awake at night, is an emergency. Please call Main Street Dental Clinic, Coatbridge for an appointment that same day!

CRACKED TOOTH
A cracked tooth that is painful is an emergency, contact us and our team will get you seen and out of pain the same day.
However, if it’s not painful then this is not an emergency and our team will allocate you an appointment within days for your tooth to be restored back to health.

BLEEDING GUMS
This is an emergency if it’s after an extraction and it’s persistent despite applying pressure to the affected site. Please call our Clinic in Coatbridge, Glasgow and our team will arrange for you to be seen that day!

LOST CROWN, VENEER OR BRIDGE
These are only considered an emergency if they cause pain. If you experience pain, you will be seen by one of our dentists that day. Otherwise our team will be happy to arrange an appointment for you within days.

What to Expect

Duration of Appointment : 10-30mins

A through clinical examination will be carried out, with x-rays if necessary, in order to evaluate the emergency. Dr Razik and Dr Alvi will diagnose the issue at hand and outline a treatment plan to have you feeling comfortable again.
