Composite bonding Coatbridge

Composite bonding is one of the quickest and most affordable ways to improve your smile. It’s ideal for fixing small chips, closing little gaps, or reshaping uneven edges. Using a tooth-coloured resin, we gently build and sculpt your teeth to look smoother, more even, and still completely natural.

What is composite bonding?

Composite bonding is a simple way to improve the shape, size, or surface of your teeth using a tooth-coloured resin. It’s carefully applied and shaped by hand to blend in with your natural teeth—no drills, no damage, and no need to remove any healthy enamel.

It’s a great option if you’re looking for a gentle, same-day treatment that can make a real difference to your smile without feeling too ‘done’.

It works beautifully on its own, or as the final touch after straightening or whitening.

You’ll leave with your new smile on the same day. No waiting. No recovery time. Just a fresh, more confident version of you.

Looking after your bonding

Composite bonding is strong, but it still needs a bit of care to keep it looking its best. Avoid biting hard things like pens, nails, or packaging, as this can chip the resin. Tea, coffee, red wine and smoking can stain the bonding over time, so rinsing with water after these can help. Stick to your normal brushing and flossing routine using a soft toothbrush and non-abrasive toothpaste. Regular check-ups let us keep an eye on things and polish the bonding if needed. And if you grind your teeth at night, a custom night guard can help protect both the bonding and your natural teeth.

Frequently asked questions

Not at all. Bonding is completely pain-free and usually doesn’t need any anaesthetic. It’s a very gentle treatment.

With good care, bonding can last anywhere from 3 to 7 years. Avoiding habits like nail-biting or opening things with your teeth can help it last longer.

It can stain over time, especially with tea, coffee, red wine, or smoking. But keeping up with regular hygiene appointments and a good routine at home makes a big difference.

Whitening won’t change the colour of bonding, so it’s best to whiten your teeth before bonding if you’d like a brighter shade.

Bonding works best for small cosmetic improvements. At your consultation, we’ll look at your teeth, listen to your goals, and let you know if it’s the right option—or if something else might suit you better.
