Veneers Coatbridge

Veneers are thin layers of tooth-coloured material that we bond to the front of your teeth. They can transform how your smile looks—by adjusting the shape, size, colour, or symmetry—all while keeping things looking natural.

What are veneers?

Veneers are usually made from composite or porcelain, and they’re carefully shaped to match the rest of your teeth. They can cover chips, smooth uneven edges, and even out your smile if one or two teeth are shorter, smaller or slightly out of place.

You can choose to treat just one tooth—or several. Every case is tailored to you.

Designed around YOU

No two smiles are the same, and that’s exactly how we like it. When we plan veneers, we don’t just look at teeth—we look at you. Your face shape, your bite, your natural tooth shade, how you speak, how you smile when no one’s watching. It all matters.

We take the time to get it right—not overdone, not one-size-fits-all. Just a smile that feels completely yours.

What to expect

1

Consultation

We’ll start with a relaxed chat about your smile—what you like, what you’d like to change. We’ll look at your bite, your facial features, and how your teeth sit, so we can plan something that fits you naturally.

2

Trial smile

If you’re having multiple veneers, we may create a mock-up or digital preview. This helps you see what your new smile could look like before anything is done.

Treatment

Depending on the type of veneer, we may prepare the surface of your tooth (usually very minimally), then carefully place the veneer to blend in seamlessly. Composite veneers are often done in one visit, while porcelain ones are made in a lab and fitted later.

Tips for looking after your veneers

To keep your veneers looking great, a few small habits make all the difference:

  • Avoid biting hard things like pens, nails or ice—these can chip your veneers.

  • Brush gently with a soft toothbrush and non-abrasive toothpaste to keep the surface smooth.

  • Wear a night guard if you grind your teeth, especially while sleeping.

  • Come in for regular check-ups so we can keep an eye on everything and make small adjustments if needed.

  • Watch out for stain-causing foods and drinks like coffee, red wine and curry—especially with composite veneers.

Frequently asked questions

Not at all. We keep any preparation as minimal as possible. In many cases, especially with composite veneers, no drilling is needed at all.

With good care, composite veneers can last 3–7 years, and porcelain veneers often last 10 years or more. Regular check-ups and good hygiene help them last even longer.

No. We’re all about natural-looking results. We match the shape, shade, and texture to suit you, not a one-size-fits-all look.

Absolutely. Some patients just want to fix one chipped or uneven tooth. Veneers can be done on a single tooth or several—whatever suits your smile.

They are not permanent, however they are long-lasting. Porcelain veneers are a long-term option and do involve a small amount of enamel being removed, so they’re not reversible. Composite veneers are more conservative and can often be adjusted or removed if needed.
